My annual bout of Virtual Sturgis Stalking

So, moving on from achaeologists to bikers, but keeping up the stalking habit.

The 73rd Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally officially starts today. At best, I get a few hours there every couple years, so the rest of the time, I check in on the webcams.

I usually check out the Rapid City Journal‘s Sturgis Street and Sturgis Sidewalk cameras. In the last year or two these were upgraded to streaming video, so that’s extra nice. (They also have a Deadwood webcam, which I’m likely to check on any day of the year. I’ve got a thing about Deadwood.)

This year the official Sturgis rally site has also added some webcams. They’re just still photos every 30 seconds, but cool to check out for some other views.
